For only the second time and first since 1981, the SCIL has tri-champions
in football as Pope John, Sparta and Vernon finished with identical 7-2 records.
It was the first-ever title for the Vikings while Sparta won the crown in 1980 after sharing it with the Lions
in 1979. For Pope John, it was the 13th time they have won or shared the championship. |
| Green Terror junior quarterback Jamie "Boo" Harris
and Mules' junior wide receiver Joshua Carter were named the Offensive Players of the Year. Western Maryland senior
defensive end Aaron Bartolain was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year. |
